Ekattatur'r Golpo is brought to you by a group of young professionals and students from the DC/MD/VA area. We aspire to celebrate Bangladesh's rich history and diverse cultural heritage through creative expression. As members of the post 71 generation, we recognize that youth has been a powerful force in ushering societal change. We seek to ignite the imagination of the new generation of Bangladeshis and Bangladeshi-Americans and inspire active citizenship.

Afroza is a Senior at George Mason University and is working for NRECA. She loves fashion, dance and friends. Growing up in USA, she never let herself fall apart from her own originality. She has been always involved in different cultural activities which would encourage her fellow young Bangladeshis to learn and know about our history and culture.

Faheem was born and grew up in Dhaka and finished his Bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg State University in Pennsylvania. He is currently working for NRECA as a senior accountant. He love cars, fashion, friends and enjoys being involved in different community activities.

Born in Bangladesh, moved to Washington DC area over 20 years ago. Attended Wakefield High School in Arlington, Graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. There, he received is bachelors in Computer Science. Currently, an IT engineer by profession at Fannie Mae. He has been in the IT field for over 10 years. He also owns a small LLC as side business. Through out the years, he was always involved in various cultural activities and received several multicultural awards from Arlington County.

Muhammad Wasiul Islam is working as a financial Analyst at Telecom giant Verizon Business (former MCI Inc.). He has an Economics degree from International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), an MBA from University of Illinois (UI) and is currently pursuing a CFA certification (Chartered Financial Analyst). In future he plans to conduct research on micro credit policy, macro economics in third world and equitable distribution of wealth.

Masrur Hossain - Masrur has been an active participant of Bangladeshi community events since 2000. He is currently employed by Cardinal Bank as the Vice President and Branch Manager of their Fairfax Office. His personal interests include Bangladeshi band music, TV and stage drama, airplanes, travel, art, spy/detective movies, and adventure.

He has been in the Wireless/IT field for over 6 years. Throughout his collage years he has been involved with various cultural events, both performing, managing and working behind the scenes. |

Shahed Chowdhuri is software professional in northern Virginia, and has been in the area for 10 years. Born and raised in Dhaka. He is aware of his Bengladeshi heritage and participates in cultural events to make others aware as well. |

Born and brought up in Dhaka, Shimul holds Bengali culture and history in heart. She received a bachelor degree from Bloomsburg State University and is working for Verizon business as a system analyst. She loves music, art and being a social butterfly.
